Well for the past week or so we have been having problems with getting Jayden to go to sleep. At night he will get so tired yet not want to fall asleep unless we are holding him. We have been trying to let him cry it out but that has been so hard on both Derrick and I. I would start crying and Derrick would eventually get up with him and rock him a bit and finally he would lay down with out crying. Once he actually does fall asleep he does great and sleeps 7-9 hours. So last night after reading much on the internet and talking to some friends and family. We tried setting a routine feeding him, reading to him and saying prayers and then laying him down when he is just barely falling asleep. Then we went in intervals to comfort him. First five min, seven, and finally ten. I think that was much better for the little man and for us. He finally went down around 8:45-9:00ish and then slept till almost 6. I am confident that we will be able to get him to the point where he can fall alseep on his own.

Yay! I'm so glad to hear you tried it, and that it wasn't horrible! Keep at it, he'll catch on :) And he is SO cute by the way!
A routine helps us a lot as well. Story time calms Brogan down. Sleep was a problem for us as well. I wouldn't do the cry it out thing until they are older and even then its hard. Our main problem was that he got RSV at two weeks and so he couldn't breath right at night. He had to be inclined. I will admit that for the first few months he slept in his cradle swing, because that was the only place he could sleep and breath ok. He transitioned to his crib fine we just had to incline the head for a while.
Jenn in partial care and Hailey at the front desk, I don't know if she was there when you were working... I'm doing good! I love looking at your cute pics of Jayden!!
Jenn and I did that. We would go 5, 10, 15, 15, 15 until we Micah went to bed. We really only had a couple of hard nights after we started doing that. It works really well.
